Slideshow
These are the slides I liked best, with shots mostly from Barcelona and some from Amsterdam.
Group shots
For those of you who may have been on this tour (and those of you who are curious), here are just a few shots of the gang.
Signs
I pulled these out of the regular slideshow since this is a little more focused on one topic.
Wow...Barcelona!
I thought Venice was stunning. It is. But for any Art Nouveau geek, Barcelona is a must. Gaudi reigns king in the realm of exotic architecture, but his contemporaries are no less fantastic. I thought I'd get burned out by a full week in one city, but that wasn't the case at all. In fact, I could've easily spent another week there exploring the various neighborhoods (with a train ride to the coast thrown in).
Our tour was led by ETBD's cartographer extraordinaire, architecture aficionado, and just plain awesome human being Dave Hoerlein, whose knowledge and love of the city in itself made the trip a complete and utter blast. And it didn't hurt that our tour group was an amazing group of people. I had such a great time in all facets of this trip. If I even have half as much fun the next time out, I'd be very happy.
